Lough Derg Drive
This route is a well signposted circuit of the entire Lough Derg area. It will take you through many towns and lakeside villages and many beautiful picturesque viewing points. The average time to complete the drive is three hours (116 Km). You will pass many beautiful villages on your trip around the lake, including Portumna, Mountshannon, Killaloe, Dromineer, Nenagh, Terryglass and many more, which are hidden away and are off the beaten track. There is plenty to see and lots of great photographic opportunities. Starting from Portumna, you can go south-east through Terryglass or south-west through Mountshannon.
